According to FAA air traffic control we had over
1800 operations (landings and takeoffs) which made
BAZ the third busiest airport in the nation on
Saturday. |
Several
senior EAA members said we were like Rockford -- the
original beginning of the EAA national fly-in in
Oshkosh -- and keep it that way. |
It is
the perfect airport for the event -- 1000 acres of
level ground, well-drained by an underground system
built during WWII with as much grass as we will
need. |

This was
our Homecoming. We are Home in the "hill country”
after several moves. This is where we need to stay,
according to many comments. |
Many
very favorable comments received. |
