According to FAA air traffic control we had over 1800 operations (landings and takeoffs) which made BAZ the third busiest airport in the nation on Saturday.

Several senior EAA members said we were like Rockford -- the original beginning of the EAA national fly-in in Oshkosh -- and keep it that way.

It is the perfect airport for the event -- 1000 acres of level ground, well-drained by an underground system built during WWII with as much grass as we will need.

This was our Homecoming.  We are Home in the "hill country” after several moves. This is where we need to stay, according to many comments.

Many very favorable comments received.
