Louis Schreiner Field, Kerrville was the setting of the 1997 Southwest Regional Fly-In. Moving the site from the Mooney Aircraft site to the field south of Kerrville Aviation gave the Fly-In a new look and visitors a new view.

The weather was perfect. Arrivals Friday were the most in recent memory and Saturday saw still more arrivals. When the field closed for the airshow there were over 460 aircraft on the field.

The banquet was a great success, enjoyed by many attendees. Decorations added to the festive atmosphere.

The President's Award was presented to Bettye Shoup for years of dedicated service.
