|
 |
Paul Fiala began flying at 15 in
Corpus Christi. He earned his
commercial pilot's license and began
flying as charter pilot and CFI
during his senior year of high
school. His corporate flying career
started in 1962. After more than
20,000 hours he has 10,000 hours of
accident-free operation in corporate
aircraft. His job these days is as
chief pilot for King Ranch, Inc.
Aerobatic flying is his hobby! In
1987 he received the U.S. Navy's
citation from the Chief of Naval Air
Training for air show performances
and support of naval aviation. Among
the naval aircraft he has flown is
the F/A-18 Hornet with the Blue
Angels.
Paul's Great Lakes biplane The
Barnstormer may not be in the same
speed class with the Navy's Hornet,
but he does amazing things in it.
